blogs where upgrade to wordpress mu 2.7.1 today 
first we ran into trouble with the DB-upgrade, but after awhile and waiting for the scripts to finish – everything seems to be fine.

today this server (blogs.sonance.net) was upgraded to the lastest version of wordpress mu 2.6
one more thing, needed to be done for a long time …
… the database and wordpress was upgraded to UTF8.
just upgraded wordpress mu to version 1.5.1
new interface
mhh the visual-editor is not working well in opera 9.5 on OSX 
…..
some themes did not work, because their names included ()
so browsers were not able to fetch the stylesheets.
corrected the names for all these themes now.
installed new version of wordpress-mu with bugfixes now.
this is wordpress 1.2.4 now
today we updated this multi-user wordpress from version 1.0 to 1.2.3!
we hope that everything went alright and no further problems will occur.

now file + image -upload is working.
