servers moved to new serverroom tonight
Yes, we did it!
Tonight we moved all our servers to the new serverroom.
Ian Grigg, Matthias Subik, Andreas Marksteiner, Mathias Mueller from Community TV and myself where puting the machines into the new serverroom. While moving the machines arround the old firewall hardware did break, so mmathias helped me getting a new firewall in place. He was using OpenBSD and set it up for |sonance| during a 5 hour procedure. At the end we discoverd that we do not get active ftp to run, so all of the ftp-clients you will use have to do passive-ftp form now on.
sorry, we may fix this another day, but you should tell your ftp client to use passive-ftp mode this days.
Yesturday night at the netznetz/mana talk in the Depot Christoph Nebel for the Wiener Kunstschule and Art University Linz also did gave to 2 great 300 GB Maxtor Maxline III harddisks to put into the backup-server. He did “lend” it to me cause the |sonance|network| support for his students. Thank you a lot Christoph.
Also a lot of people helped the last 2 weeks to put our end-of-the-year event in place. the flyers are printed now, and the call-for-papers is out.
It would be nice if you participate, and getting your project printed in your 5 years |sonance|network|cataloge. Please check out the call under http://resonance005.sonance.net and step by at our event at the 10th of December in the Cabaret Renz.
Thanks again to all the people, which helped realizeing the servermove and the event.
Ruth Haselmair aka coryllus, Matthias Gassner aka foo, Bernhard Faiss aka isebuke and Shira Carmel help so far on the Resonance005 event planing, flyerprinting and the call-for-papers.
A lot of kisses also to all the artist who are allready handed in papers and are willing to perform at the event. We are looking straight forward to a nice event and a lot of response to our call-4-papers.
luck to all of you
